Hunger

Papa, stir up our hearts. You didn’t say that you would call certain people to serve the poor and needy. James says “religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” We are REQUIRED, if our faith is real, to look after the orphans and widows. Let’s step up and be who we were created to be. Let’s step up and not just say we love Jesus but show it. That’s real love. Abba doesn’t just say He loves us, He never leaves our side; Jesus doesn’t just say He loves us, He gave IT ALL so that we may be covered with grace and enter into relationship with Him! The least we can do to say thank you is take care of His other hurting, broken, confused, neglected, and abandoned children.

One half of one percent. If one half of one percent of the followers of Jesus in LA would step up and adopt there would be ZERO children being carelessly tossed around in the faulty foster care system our ungodly government has set up. After these kids are 18 they are tossed out on to the street and most end up running into awful situations, but who could expect any less when they don’t have anyone loving or supporting them. While my iPod plays familiar tunes in my ear the only tune most of them hear is the empty beating inside reminding them they haven’t eaten in days.

Jesus I am hungry for Your love. I hunger for these neglected children to feel this love too. I hunger for them to see their heavenly Papa who actually loves them, will NEVER abandon them, and will NEVER stop pounding on their door. You will never stop knocking on the their hearts.

Oh how He loves US
Oh how He loves US
Oh how He loves US so!

He doesn’t just love me, He doesn’t just love pastors, or the wealthy… He loves the abandoned and those with broken hearts. He loves these children who appear, in our eyes, to be the most unloved of all.
